April 21-22, 2018 – Treasure Coast Youth Spring Series, Regatta #5

Held at MYC (Melbourne)  Sunfish, Laser, Portsmouth, Collegiate 420, and Open Bic will sail both days of the regatta. Optimist Gold and Optimist Silver divisions will sail on Sunday only. The Portsmouth Division will use the DP-N number listed on the US Sailing web with adjustments at the discretion of the Organizing Authority.

Held at YSF (Vero Beach)      Information will be posted to Regatta Network in due course.

 

February 25, 2018Treasure Coast Youth Spring Series, Regatta #3

Held at TCYSF (Fort Pierce) The regatta is open to all boats of the Optimist class (including wood, plastic and fiberglass hulls), Collegiate 420 (i.e., No spinnaker or trapeze) and Open Bic.  They will race and be scored in 4 classes; 1) Optimist Gold class will consist of Optimist sailors with 1.5 years or more of sailing experience, 2) all other Optimist sailors will sail in the Silver class, 3) a 420 class, and 4) an Open Bic class.

February 24, 2018 – Blessing of the Fleet

11:00am – Meet at Turning Basin for Fleet Blessing
12:00pm – Community BBQ at South Causeway Park

All boats are welcome. There will be educational booths and a free BBQ afterwards.

THE 2017 PARKER WHITEHEAD MEMORIAL REGATTA

DECEMBER 17, 2017  –  JAYCEE PARK  –  START TIME:  1:00 PM


This regatta is in memory of Parker Whitehead, a bright, handsome young man, with much promise and an intense interest in all sports. Parker passed away at the age of 15, a victim of cancer.

His parents, Roy and Rhonda Whitehead, sponsor this regatta each year, providing the T-shirts given to all participants and trophies awarded to those placing in the  races.

Parker would be pleased to know that other young people can benefit from his parents’ support of sporting activities such as this regatta, giving them an opportunity to learn self-confidence, self-discipline and teamwork, while having fun on the water.

TCYSF 2017 RIVER RAFT REGATTA

The River Raft Regatta is a fund raiser to help assist the Fort Pierce Police Department’s Courageous Kids Program.
TCYSF will be providing instruction to teach the children to sail. The Fort Pierce Police Department’s Courageous Kids
program is designed to help children learn to  feel comfortable talking to police officers, as well as local officials and
authorities, who spend time with them,  mentor them, and get to know what each child is all about.

Race Date/Time/Place:  August 5, 2017   10am    Fort Pierce City Marina

There will be a Captain’s meeting held at Archie’s on August 4, 2017 at 6pm – this meeting is for all raft/kayak captains to go over
the rules, regulations and course.

All Corporate registrations should be submitted by July 28, 2017 to ensure company name is included on the event T-shirt.
